Contact Form 7 is a popular plugin for WordPress for making contact forms.

But it is absolutely essential to test that it works after you install it. If you find that it isn’t working and you are not receiving mail from your contact form, you may be being blocked from php mail() by anti-spam measures on your shared server.

One possible cause is the anti-spam does not want to send from an email address not hosted on the server, and the usual default setting sends the email with a “from” address of your customer.

The work around for this is to install WP Mail SMTP by Callum Macdonald. It is straightforward to install, as per the instructions on WordPress.org.
